Mat Kearney, Tuesday March 10th, The Warfield

Mat Kearney brings his “Just Kids” tour to San Francisco in support of his latest album, Just Kids, released this past week on February 24th. Whether you’re a fan of his older, more acoustic songs, or newer hip-hop mixed electronic mixed with his acoustic guitar tracks, this surely will be a memorable evening. Bleachers with Night Terrors of 1927, Wednesday March 11th, The Fillmore

The New York based indie rock band is a side project of Jack Antonoff, guitarist for Fun. (also boyfriend of Lena Dunham), is on their first tour. The “Come Alive” tour is kicking off this week with openers Joywave and electronic-rock pop duo Night Terrors of 1927.

Misterwives, Thursday March 12th, The Independent

New York-based indie pop band Misterwives shared an album release date last week with Mat Kearney — their debut LP Our Own House was released on February 24th. After a sold out headlining show at The Rickshaw Stop in December, this five-piece is back with a sold out headline set at one of our favorite venues, The Independent, in the middle of the month.

Ringo Starr, Friday March 13th, The Masonic

Do we even need to write about this one? The former Beatle is on tour for his 18th studio release, Postcards from Paradise, due out at the end of the month. We expect this to sell out, so get your tickets quick.

These indie rockers have been in the Bay Area quite a few times in the past year. Their most recent show, at Slim’s in October, sold out in minutes. This time they’re back at a venue with a capacity nearly 10 times as large.

Ben Harper, Wednesday March 25th-Saturday March 28th, The Fillmore

Three time Grammy-winner Ben Harper is reuniting for the first time in seven years after a solo stint, with his band The Innocent Criminals. Kicking off their tour in the US, Australia, and Europe, they are playing a four night residency in SF.

The Mowgli’s, Wednesday March 25th, The Independent

The Ting Tings, Thursday March 26th, The Regency Ballroom

On tour for their third album, Super Critical, the Ting Tings are back in SF after playing the Rickshaw Stop in January. Well known for their hits “That’s Not My Name” and “Shut up and Let me Go”, catch British duo at the beautiful Regency Ballroom.
