Get ready! This Thursday post-punk indie rock band Bear Hands will be playing at SF’s Rickshaw Stop. After the release of their LP Burning Bush Supper Club in 2010 the New York natives opened for bands such as Passion Pit, GZA and We Were Promised Jetpacks.

February brought the release of the band’s second album, Distraction. Singles such a “Giants” possess a refreshing touch of angst that indie rock usually omits. A delicate balance between violent and soft sounds with a definite Eighties influence, the band is sure to keep the crowd engaged and on their feet.

As of this morning's announcement, Bear Hands will also be playing at this year's Outside Lands Festival at Golden Gate Park in August.

For $13, we can't think of a reason not to go! We'll see you there!
